Military Museum of Fortress Nymphea

The Military Museum of Fortress Nymphea is located 17 km away from Komotini and operates since 2000 in the portico of the eponymous fortress. The Old Courthouse

The building that until recently housed the courthouse of Komotini, was studied and built by a Dutch architect around 1870 for Sultan Abdul Aziz and his successor Abdul Hamid II on behalf of the Ottoman Administration of that time as Government House.The courthouse building was used as headquarters by the authorities of the Ottoman Empire until the July of 1913. Residence at 15 Tsanaklis Street

It was declared protected monument under the state legislation N 1469/50. Tobacco warehouse in the central square of Komotini

It is a declared artwork and historical monument as it is a representative sample of the tobacco warehouse of the past century, important part of the study of Architecture Heritage and a testimony for the past development of the city of Komotini in the 60’s. The Old Heroon

It is located in the little grove opposite to the Archeological Museum. It is the work of the talented local sculptor Peter Moschidis and it is made of pure marble in 1930. The names of 63 people from Komotini, who were sacrificed in the Greek-Italian war of 1940-41, are graven on the lately added two big marble plaques.
